Crunchy Hamburgers
1 lb. ground chuck
2 c. canned bean sprouts, rinsed and drained
1 T. Worcestershire sauce
1 t. ground ginger
1/2 t. garlic salt or powder
Combine all ingredients. Divide mixture and shape into patties. Broil until done, turning once. Great on the grill!
Orange Julius
1 c. water
1 c. milk
2 t. vanilla extract
6 oz. frozen orange juice
10-12 ice cubes
2 T. sugar
Mix in blender appromixately 20 seconds and serve. Makes 3-4 servings. A big hit with kids on a summer afternoon!
Low-Calorie Vegetable Dip
1/2 pkg. dry original ranch salad dressing mix
24 oz. nonfat cottage cheese
Mix in blender until creamy. Great on baked potatoes, in sandwiches in place of mayonnaise or with crackers and vegetables. Best if allowed to set a few hours in order for flavors to “marry.”
